Biography - William J. Whitty (Bill Whitty) has recently joined Homestar Mortgage, Inc. as its President responsible for the Mortgage Sales Team and the Mortgage Banking Operation’s Staff. Bill also can help you with your financing needs and is a very qualified mortgage professional. His clients trust his judgment and advice.

Bill’s career started in June 1971 with Fleet Financial Corp as their first mortgage originator and then manager. Most recently he was the Executive Vice President at another Rhode Island financial institution and prior to that he was AVP, Branch Manager for Chase Home Finance from June 1987 to February 2005. Bill is a past president of the Rhode Island Mortgage Bankers Association.

Biography - During his 31 years in the mortgage industry, Jeffrey M. Bowden has accumulated a wealth of knowledge, working with the Federal Housing Administration, Veterans Administration and Rhode Island Housing Corporation to secure conventional loans and financing for large construction projects. He started working with Homestar Mortgage in January 2009 as a senior loan officer after being employed by two other companies as a loan officer and/or sales manager. Jeffrey and his wife, Sheila, live in Narragansett with their two children: Sean, 11; and Caroline, 9. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Jeffrey belongs to the Narragansett Lions Club, South Kingstown Elks Club and South County Chapter of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. Biography - Adam Ethier started working at Homestar as a loan officer and mortgage originator in March 2005. Previously, he was a budget analyst and cost accountant for the finance division of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island. He specializes in customizing mortgage solutions and working with first-time homebuyers to find options for low down payments. Adam is a licensed mortgage originator in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Florida. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Rhode Island and resides in Coventry. Michael is a member of the South Kingstown Chamber of Commerce, an affiliate member of the Newport County Board of Realtors and Kent-Washington County Association of Realtors and a committee member of the URI Alumni Association. Biography - For 34 years Michael has helped thousands of people throughout Southern New England to make the right choice when financing a home. Biography - Jo Martone has spent 23 years in the real estate business and about the last 10 has been with Homestar Mortgage, where she is a senior loan officer. She completed the National Association of Realtors’ Graduate Realtors Institute and is a Certified Buyer Representative. Previously, she worked as a Realtor and wholesale loan processor.
